that sucks
Fuck that man, let insurance total it, and buy it back and fix it, or if you just have liability, get it fixed, and still get to have a clear title. I hate QP damage, but I've seen alot worse get put back together and you'd never tell.

Hell yeah. Just let insurance give you money. Buy that one back, then another one. Widebody the wrecked one, and you now have a track car. Or sell it then.

I was thinking about selling it, but going back and forth since theres an SR 20 in my garage to go in.
I don't want the car anymore, the damage is much worse than what you can see. Looks like some suspension components definately got tweaked. The qp was hit so hard its rippled the spare tire area, probably som damage to the fuel tank. Even if they total it, I wouldnt buy it back. I'm very meticulous and the kind of person that would always think how bad it was hit no matter how good it looked. I'm through with this car.
Honestly was the cleanest (in every way) oem s13 I've seen in person.

Insurance came and looked at the car today, and I can tell theres definately some suspension damage. Probably uca, toe rod, traction rod... possibly subframe. My friend owns the body shop, Impact Collision (HIGHLY reccomended btw), the only people I would let work on my car; he's offered to get it from me for whatever the buy back price is on the car. Seeing as I could still easily get 2-3K for the car if I parted it out. 100K manual KA, mint interior, 5 lug with Brembo rotors and the chrome rims, coil overs, etc... A lot of time went into the car. Really kind of depressed about it, because you dont see these things every day. I've only had it three months, from the original owner, GA car with all service records to 90K done at Nissan... best part was the original window sticker. Car sold for 17K. F U C K. sucks but I think I have a lead on another clean coupe, and this one will get an RB25 since I have half the parts in my garage.
all this not to mention my trip to the ER was 4K.
My original reaction was exactly like I pictured. Very calm not really talking. I said to the other driver (a 19 yo kid), 'do you know what this is?',
'no, what?'
'do you know what a 240sx is?'
'No'
'do you know what drifting is?'
'...no?'
"nevermind man'
What really made my day was when the cop came back with my info and said
'so this is a 240 sx?'
'yes'
'It was so clean, what a shame'
Even the cop knew what he was looking at, but the deuschbag that hit me doesn't even kno what drifting is. If I wasn't such a nice guy, I probably would have kicked him right in the nuts.... still cant believe it.
As a side note, I'm waiting to see what they offer for the car, since book is only ~2K... but ANYONE here knows the car is easily worth TWICE that. Anyone have any ideas on establishing 'fair market value'?
Thanks guys
SCato
