HA
I dont see how Porsche would make such a claim for no reason. Now i like the GTR but i bet that car was a little hopped up for that time, but hell i bet all test cars are a little better than a production car.
Here is a little interesting story. I know for a fact that the car and driver GTR wasnt 100% factory either. That car was a little hopped up too. I know people who drove it.

Yes
Just for an example
Before my phone broke, I had a cell video of the car in launch control mode at 6K instead of the factory 4400.

That is prolly just a simple computer setting though...
I am sure porsche did the same thing with their car. Turned the boost up alil bit, messed with the AFR, and a couple lil simple things to make it go alil bit faster.

A change is a change, the car was beefed up a little. And you just said the same thing i already did. That ANY car used for test purposes to show its numbers is going to be a little better.

Yup and they prolly dyno tested 10-20 cars to see which one worked the best before they brought it out there.

i agree with the testing. according to a production film on youtube showing how the engines were made, each engine is unique and will have different outputs from one another, in result of them being hand made.

Its kinda surprising to me that a pure sports car maker`s drivers can`t even get closer than 25secs to Nissan (a company that makes cars for all markets) test drivers` times.:gay:
Next is gonna be Hyundai coming out with some kinda Super Genesis Coupe and Ferrari test drivers not being able to drive as good as Hyundai`s test drivers:lmfao:
I love how Nissan just shitted on Porsche with class, big respect to Nissan for the victory!!

Nissan has revealed that the GT-R used in the official lap time was actually at a disadvantage due to up to 50kg of testing equipment. According to GTRblog (http://www.gtrblog.com/index.php/2008/10/09/nissan-offer-porsche-proof-and-driving-t?blog=4), Nissan has also offered free driver training (http://www.motorauthority.com/nissan-maintains-gt-r-nurburgring-lap-time-was-legitimate.html#) for Porsche if it wants to attempt a second lap.
LMAO they offered a free driver training, hilarious

Porsche couldn't get within 25 seconds of Nissan? In the "same" car? That is A LOT! I feel both sides should head-to-head @ nurburgring with their best "production" car. I am willing to bet Nissan would not take the challenge.
