is this the right caliper? 26mm aluminum

the leak isnt that bad, should I still drive my car, or park it untill I get a new caliper?

Thanks

i drove for a little with a small leak in my z32 brakes... not really a good idea. fix it ASAP. you can just rebuild the caliper, don't have to buy a new one.

well rebuild kit is 25, and rebuilt caliper is 50. I have had so much problems with these brakes I dont want to mess with them anymore.

there are different z32 brakes. there's 2 or 3 versions i think. just gotta match them up.

i thought there were just 3. were there ever 26mm iron calipers? i didn't think so but i could be wrong.

The "26mm Aluminum" calipers were used ONLY on 1990 non-turbos. They used a 280mm x 26mm rotor.

Actually

no matching is needed

They didnt use different calipers for the same car

Depending on what year and if it was a turbo or NA 300zx you have that caliper.

look up importnut.net and it list what caliper goes with what year and model Z32

I need to know if http://www.autozone.com/R,1749565/store,3444/initialAction,partProductDetail/initialAction,partProductDetail/initialpartType,00852/initialR,1749565/initialstore,3444/initialvehicleId,1768801/shopping/addToList.htm

is a 26mm aluminum caliper.

according to importnut (i trusted them for everything when i swapped my brakes) you have to get the caliper from a 1990 N/A 300zx. the one you posted is for a 1992, so it should be a 30mm aluminum.

so I guess that the link I have posted is a 30mm caliper

This link below is for a 1990 na 300zx. but is weighs a pound more then the 92. anybody know the weight of the 26mm al caliper?

al is non metallic. iron is.... easy way to tell the difference. i think there is a thread on here somewhere about the differences actually.

i think that's a good idea. IIRC the rebuild kit is the same for all the z32 calipers. somebody correct me quickly if i'm wrong about that.

you might spend like $120 on new ones for the pair... just buy a pair of rebuilt ones. i've seen pressure differences blow out the old calipers...

wtf is IIRC?
