haha no worries. i just gotta figure it out cause i got new rotors and i dont wanna ruin them
The caliper may be seized up. I had that happen to me several years ago. One of my rear calipers would just drag. Check your rear rotors and see if one has more wear on it than the other. Once you figure out which side it is, get another caliper from a junk yard or something, and replace it. That would probably be the easiest, cheapest way to fix it.

x2, the e-brake cable return spring goes bad all the time.

or wear on the brake pads can cause the piston to push the pad out to much and rub the rotor
happend to me

yep take the rear calipers off the car. spray it down with some brake cleaner then a hit of some kind of grease / lube.
if that doesnt fix it then idk... replace the spring or whatever is broken. *shrugs* im asuming its just seizing. id try cleaning it.

easy but sorta dumb way to fix this if your broke
okat take wheel off
take the two two 12 mill bolts off the caliper
then take caliper off
and brake pads
then take the brake fluid line off the caliper
the piston should lose pressure
then hit the piston not to hard with a hammer it should go back in lil bit by lil bit
then put it all back together
bleed your brakes and see if it worked
it did for me
(edit)
not the safest way but it works

Or you can just open the brake fluid reservoir and once you take the brake pads out, use a pair of grips or something to squeeze the piston back into the caliper. Opening the fluid reservoir releases pressure and doesn't p*ss brake fluid all over the ground. Well, maybe a little will come out of the top of the reservoir if your brake fluid level is very full. Anywho, ...
...just a different recipe for making the same cookies. ;)

Yeah, you're right, that is sorta dumb.... you could just use the proper tools for the job... being that it's a screw type piston, and if you bang on it with a hammer, you're sure to have a sticky caliper in your life...
For real, open the resevoir cap... and use this... Autozone, cheap as hell...

If one of your pistons won't compress, the last thing you want to do is bang on it with a hammer... That doesn't do anything good for a screw type.
You're supposed to use a piston compressor tool with a ratchet wrench to push the rear caliper back in. That thing that looks like a block with keys.
