such cheap prices...

and idk how good the stuff is in the kit
cuz im doing a complete rebuild
i dont need pistons or rods or anything like that im going to be getting cp pistons and eagle rods. main studs head studs and rod bolts

all i really need this for is new timing chain stuff
i want a new chain, tensioner, and various gaskets (oil pan, valve covers, main seal)
crap like that
im going to get aftermarket everything else ...
so i was wondering if this was a good buy or should i stick to nissan stuff
like getting a nissan oil pump and timing stuff.
im sure the chain i have is okay but i really need a new tensioner.

any feedback appreciated...
specifically if anyone has dealt with these people before

id call em up and make sure they're genuine nissan parts and have it installed by a machine shop so everything can be balanced and blueprinted.

Hmmm. 500 bucks maybe worth the investment if I want to keep my KA.

But then again. My KA's done nothing but piss me off recently.

have it installed by a machine shop... that would cost a bundle...
and they arent genuine nissan parts i think im just going to have to order a new tensioner, oil pump and water pump directly from nissan.
cuz i dont trust anything else.

got a quote on stuff

water pump : 120.64
upper chain tensioner : 92.07
oil pump : 434.86 (HOLY CRAP)
im jsut gonna take mine apart and clean it
ive got 2 lol
ill find the best one

sportsman series = 1200 or so!

oem parts for anything other than pistons, rods, studs, bolts, valves and cams.

other than that.. go all oem. minus hg.

im going to get an upper timing chain tensioner from nissan. but i want to find a higher flowing water pump and oil pump.

but i heard it was the same..

rumors? i dont know.

go to nicoclub.com, Greg, AZhitman, owner of the site has done a ka-t build and shimmed his own oil pump.

what are the chances of an oilpump going bad though?

115 bucks for oilpump gears and relief valve
thats an option but im going to inspect mine before i buy anything.
if the gears arent totally screwed then ill probably just clean it up and reinstall it.
