Ok so according to MrBojangles's thread about backspacing, this is what I've come up with

(mm -> in) 30mm => 1.181 in

(Backspacing) = 9.5/2 + 1.181

(Backspacing) = 4.75 + 1.181

(Backspacing) = 5.931

In his thread it said something along the lines of a backspacing of 5.73+ will require using a tire that is 20 or so mm smaller than the with of the rim. Roughly like a 9.5 with a 255 tire on it.

So here is my dilemma. I have the specs, and I know i'll have to run prolly 245/40/18s on these rims (18x9.5 +30)

But this doesn't really tell me if the rim is going to clear the front and rear coilovers (TEIN basic coilovers) and it doesn't tell me if I'm going to have to pull or roll my fenders.

So if someone could answer the following, I would greatly appreciate it.

Setup:
S14 Chassis
TEIN basic coilovers
Pillowball mounts w/ front camber adjustment
Rear pillowball mounts w/o any means for camber adjustment
18x9.5 +30 all around
245/40/18 tires stretched on all 4

1. Will the rims clear the coilovers?
2. Will the tires mounted on the rims clear the coilovers?
3. Will I have to pull or roll the fenders with these rims?
4. Will I have to camber it to get them to work, b/c I only have camber adj on the fronts?

Thanks 240atl. I know you'll come through.

1. not likely on the front, you should be fine in the rear
2. as long as the tires don't overhang the wheel then this isn't the issue
3/4. you'll have to space them out to clear the front coilovers so most likely yes in the front, rears will depend on the actual tire width you use. if your car is pretty low without RUCA's then you'll have a bunch of neg. camber and should clear pretty much anything.

get a lower offset. and youll prob rub up front like said above.

pull might be needed in rear with that size tire, i know a 215/45/18 on a 18x9.5 +18 will clear and im REALLY low but if you can test fit the wheels before you buy them do.
