my trunk is too small :(

today i bought 2 kickers crv 12" in a probox . its not that big ...
so i thought it would fit in my s14 . well the whole box goes in except a little corner.. can i dent in my trunk a little so it can fit like the right side ???

yea seriously. our cars are tiny. big subs like that are made for large cars. you will get an overpowering bass noise and not have enough treble to compensate for it. ive got a 12" kicker and 1000w kenwood amp. its overpowering as it is. its in a bandpass box that is probably a hair smaller than your box.

honestly man take the subs back if you havent torn everything up yet. and buy 1 12" sub and a moderate size ported or sealed box to fill up half your trunk.

and i have an s14 i understand the trunk thing lol.

sell one sub, sell the box. and ill make you a box for 5 bux plus the wood ;-) in a 240 you dont want LOUDE bass. you want bass that matches the treble if any bass at all. trust us, it will piss you off and annoy you over time. even if you "love rap and bass is the best" it will piss you off, i promise you. just sell one sub for the price you bought 2 of em. and get a good amp, get a box built and stabalize it in the trunk so it doesnt slide around and rip your wires.

Keep the subs! Don't listen to them, Make your own box. There's a website for calculating volume sizes depending on sub power. I forgot it tho..

wrong. it's called sound quality.

upgrading your sound would mean changing out every speaker in your car/amps plus 1 12" or 2 10" or whatever preference.


personally, 1 12" does the job for my rock/radio/trance

First off get rid of the damn box... if it is bandpass... that box takes all the negatives of a ported box and sealed box and adds them together with no benefit of eithers positive features.... go small sealed... weighs less takes less room and make sure it where you can take them out... easily

I need a pic but I have one 10" JLW6V2 with a JL 500/1... sound quality is amazing and it takes up very little room...
