Boost:
just one question, the T fitting goes to the gauge, vacum, + one hose of the fuel regulator right?(thats what ive heard) question is, which hose of the fuel regulator do i cut and which one goes to the T
water:
ok, theres a bunch of wiring for this one  the only one im having problems with is the one that goes to the temp sender, where do i put this one? do i have to drill somewhere in the engine? (again, thats what ive heard)or is there a specific place to put this one?
Why does everyone makes it look SO easy!!!! :crying: aghhhhh

you can put a boost gauge just about anywhere in the charged pipe area... so take a vaccume line... unhook it ... put the T connector in there... and hook everything back up. a boost gauge doesnt control anything it just reads the presure of the chamber.
i have no clue about the water temp one...

That would work. Just make sure you get the right size for your temp sensor.
Also, you could just get Samco Hoses with a built in bung as well. That way you won't have so many clamps and possibilities of leaks.
And for the boost gauge.. your thinking of it the wrong way. The T is not there for you to run two lines to the boost gauge. Its so you can splice into a current vacuum line basically. That way, the line to the FPR will still function as it did, and you will now have a source for your boost gauge to read vacuum/boost.

ok sorry about that... ok, look in the pic above, the arrow that says "boost gauge": that hose, line, whatever that is, where can i get that, what is it exactly? my gauge didnt bring anything that looks like that + i see that everyone has it for the boost gauge...
got it?:goodjob:

Autozone, Advance, etc will have that. Its just a boost line kit thing. It will be behind the counter next to their guages. You'll see it. :)

hey so what do i do with the one the used to go to the FPR? i put that hose to the T, now what happens with where it used to go? u know what im saying?
hellfire
06-06-2007, 09:46 PM
Um.. Thats what the T is for?
You have one line. Going from the Throttle body, to the FPR. You cut that line in half put the T in there. Now you have an extra spot coming off to hook up your guage. Get it?

heres a pic tyler, as of right now i have it like this and is working fine but i still dont knowwhy im having an extra one

Just take out that extra T fitting you have covered with tape. And viola.
But what I don't understand, is what used to be on the T fitting you had? The black one?

ill show ya

the vacum in the left was going to that existing T, + the FPR, and the other end to the BOV.
Now, the vacum in the right goes to the new T, + gauge, and the FPR... so now where the FPR used to go in the old T is remaining
the blue dot on top is the FPR hose that used to go in the blue spot on bottom, see it?
i still dont get why im having that remainig

put the second T in the line where the BOV goes and then run one line into the throttle body

so what do u have in the other vacum of the throttle? the one besides the blue hose???

This is what you want to do
take off all those vacuum lines and T's you have ran.
The two nipples, one is big and one is small, take the big one and run it straight to your BOV.
Second smaller one, take a short length of hose, add a T in it, now you have two leftover spots on the T. One goes straight the the FPR and the other goes to your boost gauge.
Cant get any easier than that

Yep. Exactly.

now, where do i connect the positive of the gauge light?

you need to find the illumination light wire behind the dash, you can find it in alot of places.
Behind the gauge cluster, or behind the A/C controls, or basically anywhere tht a light comes on when you turn on your headlights.
I believe it is a Red wire with blue stripe, pretty sure actually

i used that wire behind the AC and its on all the time not just when i turn my lights on + whenever i turn on the ac or heater the light of the guges decrease untill is gone, if i turn it off then th elight comes back up....

then you got the wrong wire
get a multimeter and test the wires that are back there, find a wire that is 0V when lights are off adn aproximately 12V whrn the lights are on. Prettys imple
