S13 Auto into S14?

Will it work? I only ask because I found someone that will trade my auto and S13 seats for their S14 seats. I know it will work mechanically but will it electrically?

theres one way to find out.

you could come by and bring your auto tranny. and we could look at them and see if the sensors swap over. :P

Well my guess is that the speed sensor can be done by taking the plug end from the old one and splicing it into mine. My main concern is that the wires for everything else might be different colors, which means it would be a PITA to wire back together. I really don't wanna put that heavy ass tranny in my trunk and risk breaking my coilovers, but I'll go take a pic real quick.

speed snesor hole should be the same.

it should be the same exact transmission... should it not? so, all the sensors should be the same... right? and therefor, you should be able to make it work. i know people take s14 trans into s13.

sensors are probably different. im banking on the holes being the same though.

for example. s14 speed sensor is different than s13 sensor.

You may be able to swap tail housings, ive never really looked at them.

it should work man. and if not, the sensors should swap over. they should be the exact same housings.

The speed sensor can jut be pulled out and swapped

The other sensors will be diff, there is also more sensors on the S13 tranny i believe. I also think the sensors are internal and dont unbolt from the outside. At the min, the plugs are diff

And then the S13 tranny doesnt have the crank sensor on the bellhousing that the S14 needs.
