Does the car hesitate when the turbo is spooling?
Check all your couplers first.

Yep, check all couplers, make sure nothing is torn etc.
Also, you can make a pressure tester to work with an air compressor or even a air pump at the gas station.
That will point out any leaks.

is this a recent change? did you install anything related to any of the engine components? Definitely give all the piping and everything a good look over. Depending on where you are, there's probably one of us close to you that can help locate the leak or pinpoint the malfunction.

yeah come out to one of the meets and someone will look at it for you...
someone i say.
i mean everyone hahaha
and decker tore a coupler in his 240... and he was only able to run 7 psi boost because of it...

appreciate all the feedback guys
i made one of those leak testers....pvc pipe, coupling, and a bike valve...it didnt seem to work well, or i just wasnt using it right....the problem is that i dont have a boost guage....so i really have no idea how much boost i am running....and yes the turbo does hesitate...it will spool up but (No Boost)...
i understand that if i had a leak i would be losing a few pounds of boost...but its like i have none at all..
also where are the meets

Where do you live?
Are you the same guy that lives near friendship rd that George is talking about?
He just told me about some guy that couldn't build any boost and wanted me to look at it.

check your wastegate

he said his turbo was spooling though...
idk i would get a boost gauge and see whats up... maybe try disconnecting your battery and turning the key to reset your ecu?
it sounds like something small and random... but could be something like a blown turbo or wiring / ecu issues.
just check everything
or have tyler look at it.

are you serious??? his ecu has nothing to do with a boost leak... the wastegate could be stuck open there for letting all the boost out. The turbo will spool whenever you put exhaust gases by it... not trying to be a dick but it sounds like you have no clue what your talking about.

Yep, could be a stuck wastegate. But any that I've seen have been stuck closed. But then again those are always mitsu turbo's. And you will definetly find that out quickly. ;)
And yes, your ecu/wiring would have nothing to do with it.
He was only trying to help though. :)

stock... the ecu controlls boost
thats my thinking
and i already said i dont know anything about sr's

ecu controls boost. word!
therefore we get manual boost control and it will overwrite the ecu.
was the motor just installed or has been driving fine for a long time?
good luck

the motor has was installed about 5 months ago...it seems like its been slowly losing boost over time
