ok...
i bought a spec stage 3 with the 6-puck :pirate:
well
i'm trying to get the pilot bushing out but there is another bushing blocking it's way. which also causes the alignment tool to not be ale to hold the clutch up while it's in there :ohnoes:
also isn't there suppose to be splines on the inside?
and the throw-out bearing is awkward
does anyone know anything about this
Some alignment tools do not align worth a shit.
I just threw a clutch in a G20, and the alignment tool was off atleast 1/4 inch inside the pilot bushing.
Take out whatever bushing is in, put in new pilot bushing, and install.
If worse comes to worse, get a universal clutch alignment tool, I use it over any alignment tool that comes with a clutch kit.
How is the TOB awkward?
Are you sure you have the correct clutch kit for your SR?

Pictures normally are not correct for the product you ordered. Its just a generic picture.
You have to pull the old pilot bearing out before you put the new one it.
That also is probably why your alignment tool is not working.
There are splines inside the clutch disk, not the crank.

There are no splines in a pilot bushing. The only splines are on the disk. Whats so awkward about the throw out bearing ? the fact that you have to press or knock off the old one, and press the new one on?
