WTB: front 5 lug spindles and that ball joint you have to replace. rear 5 lug hubs. then if youre really fuckin cool, a set of 5 lug wheels that can clear the z32 calipers. i guess 0 offset. i dunno.

i need a good deal. also if trades are accepted i have rear seats for s13, upper rear control arms(stock) as well as all 4 corners shocks and springs. oh ya, stock calipers and rotors for the front. :/

my story is below.

my luck must have left me a long time ago. i have had the worst problems trying to do a z32 brake swap keeping the 4 lug shit.

first problem was my wheels not clearing the calipers. bought wheel spacers. then my problem was just waiting for a while.... so then i did it at the tora install day.

but then my next problem was that the extended wheel studs that came with the s13 specific wheel spacers did not fit the hub right and were falling out. so my car felt like it was falling apart when i drove it, cause it in fact WAS falling apart.

i recently got an extra set of hubs from a friends wrecked car. friend of mine says hes used 4th gen F body wheel studs (longer) cause they fit right, hes using them right now on his car.

so i get those and start setting them in the hubs at my shop. the first 2 were solid as shit. i was happy. then some did the same as the other studs i had, they go in and then come right back out. and im using an air-hammer tool to pound them the fuck in there tight.(boss told me thats how he does it.)

so because *most* of them were alright i finished up and got my car back together. its drives fine for 5 minutes then the shit sounds like a damn freight train.

i tightened the lugs tighter than normal, probably 120 foot pounds.

thats where im at now. dont know if my shits gonna fall apart or what.

i know it seems like a lot of money to some. however, if you consider time is money, like me.. i would get the 5 lug hub conversion sets they sell these days, instead of finding and sourcing around rear hubs and front spindles and ball joints and this and that. order it, when it comes in, install them one at a time and you are done. with new bearings.

http://www.enjukuracing.com/ go to 240sx on left options, and search for 5 lug hubs.

my only concern is the bearings. i dont know about ebay one, but i like the enjuku ones because they have very dependable bearings.

nissan oem bearings are badass and they very very seldom go bad compared to other manufaturers for some reason.

if you are thinking of going this route, i can place an order. good luck.

"Introducing the S5 5 lug conversion hub for 89-94 Nissan 240SX S13. Super lightweight & strong material for better traction and quicker acceleration. Perfect for those street drifters on a budget and tough enough for even the pro drivers expectations. "

I want to slap whoever wrote this discription.

I did my 5lug swap within a weekend with Zbrakes, would have been done faster than that, except I had to order my ball joints/wait to take them to my uncles shop to press them in. and S14 SE wheels clear Zbrakes, fyi.

And if you have access to a drill press/press in general, it makes things twenty times easier.

Studs dont need a hammer to install. Place them in the hub, place a larger nut that does not engage the stud on first, then use a lug nut on backwards and tighten with impact.

You need any year S14 ball joints. Iused Moog and bought them at oreilies, they were in stock. These can also be removed with a ball peen hammer, and installed the same manner with a softer mallet. No press is NEEDED.

Youll also need strut spacers for the front spindles. S14 uses bigger bolts for the spindle, so you'll have a dangerous amount of play from the bolts. Either drill the strut or buy spacers. I used spacers to save my coilovers they were $40 from vivid

haha, a lot of wheels will fit z32 brakes. offset doesn't have as much to do with clearing brakes as the type of face. there's 0 offset wheels that won't clear z-brakes and +35 wheels that will clear z-brakes. anyway, if you're looking for something cheap and easy to find to clear z brakes, se wheels would be a good choice. haha, z wheels will also clear obviously.

anytihng larger than stock wheels would clear

That's not true. There's 18" wheels that won't clear z-brakes, negative offset wheels that won't clear z-brakes, etc. It has more to do with the face type.

huh?
why would you need the whole spindle for the front? it reuses your stock spindles and replaces the 4 lug to brand new 5 lug hub and nissan bearings. its all you need. dont have to buy more stuff to convert the five lug...its a bolt on kit.
