Just bought blacktop

My s13 blacktop SR just arrived today! :D But now i need a few more things before i can do the swap...

Downpipe

High flow cat or test pipe

Cat back

sr20 compatable radiator

and a FMIC with all pipes, hoses, and clamps.

If anyone has any of these for sale for an s13 please let me know.

dont get a high flow cat they dont work and wont make you pass emissions lol
air literally flows through it without reacting to the core cuz the air doesnt have time to hit the core... it just passes the legal requirements of having a CAT converter in your exhaust system... and makes things quieter

You can use the same radiator. Autozone sells a hose that is perfect for using a ka radiator with an sr. PM S14Unimog and get him to send you a picture of his setup. Unless you just want a new radiator, which is never a bad idea.

air literally flows through it without reacting to the core cuz the air doesnt have time to hit the core... it just passes the legal requirements of having a CAT converter in your exhaust system... and makes things quieter

actually, on my ka i installed a magnaflow high flow cat and passed emissions without any problems, i also dont have my egr system. and high flow cats make things louder. now on an sr in an s13 im not sure how the cat may affect it but i trust the magnaflow ones. maybe other brands suck the ass.

sr20det. it wont pass emissions regarless. put a cat on, and it will still fail. compression of motor is different. numbers compared to the Ka24 is completely different. there is actually a requisition going through to let sr20det in s-chassis pass emissions in california....lol.

there are almost more sr20 than ka24 in cali, and they have sent a petition in. haha..dont think it will go but its hardcore they try.

and cat back exhaust.

i have to check to see if i have an SR one.

KA24 radiator works, but it just looks horrible plus you cant really use a shroud and clutch fan, unless you mod it a little.

you can go electrical fans , unless its a nice shrouded one, it wont look like a pro install. let me see if i go tmore stuff you can grab.

Well one of my buddy’s has a high flow cat on his SR and he passes emissions every time and he has 350whp so ya.........

I have a highflow magnaflow 3in. new still in the box if you are interested. It's just the cat though no downpipe.

Yea wedge im interested but its gonna be alittle while before i can buy it if i decide to. I get paid tomorrow then i owe some people money and my insurance has to be paid and then after insurance that leaves me with $30 until my next pay check which is 2 more fridays from now. how much are you wanting?

As for passing everyone i've talked to thats passed an SR had a high flow cat, 3in exhaust (most say this is most neccessary), some will pass just like that if not you can retard the timing a little and use an SAFC to lean it out a litte.....don't drive it like this, for long anyways, but it'll pass.

get a koyo radiator. Or at least something comparable. You want that engine as cool as it can get. One of the sponsors on NICO, Injected Performance, had the best price when I got mine. Check their advertiser specials section.
