VW GTI 1.8T type ARRRRR vs Duke's Spec V

So I am toodling down the highway when I see some head lights coming up FAST. So I watch them fly by, then there is a cop he he stands on the brakes and gets in the slow lane. So I toodle on up past him to see what the fuck was going on. I see a VW GTI with some work done, type R sticker, stock exhaust, and some spiffy looking wheels. So I get off at the exit and I dont brake for the sweeper on the off ramp he does the same.

I chuckled cas he looked like he was trying kinda hard on the corner due to his line.

So we roll up to the stop light and he revs at me. He has work done to the motor because I can clearly hear the turbo spool and blow off, but was still runing stock exhaust. So I rev just enough to make it crackle a bit, and smile cas I gots the baby seat in the back.

Light turns green, I stick my 2500rpm launch without an issue. 1st gear I pull about 1.5 cars on him, 2nd car 2 cars, I pop it into thrid and let off, and toodle down to 4th. He is still on it HARD for his ricer fly by. I reject his ricer fly by dropping it into 3rd and pulling on him catching up smiling and wave at him. Then drop down to the speed limit, cas I really didnt want a ticket for 100 in a 45... lol

I thought mildly modded GTI 1.8Ts were quicker than that.

correctly modded GTI's should be quicker than that, lol. he was probably hoping for 20hp with that sticker. and they shouldn't be running BOV's

and to be honest, doesn't seem like it's modded at all, maybe an open air intake, but that wouldn't do anything for him. haha, gotta stick up for my euro-scene. but euro cars are not launchers, that's for sure.

MOST gti's, jetta's, vdubs with an intake, seriously sound like their running an upgraded turbo, bov. but, just plain ol'straight intake.

I have full catless exhaust (including header), CAI, and I removed the balancing shafts. ~170whp.

This dude did much better from a roll when he tried the ricer fly by, he got a car on me stayed for a sec and then once I got into the happy point on 3rd gear I pulled on him hardcore.

I ran one that was done right and he did a burn out at 60 mph when he launched on the highway.

just the intake. i promise. theres a guy that i know that has just a k&N intake, and it made the whole car sound better. louder turbo,intake, and bov sound. weird, and cool at the same time.

ahahah, nope not at all. personally riding in it, before, and after didnt feel any power difference. just made you feel like you were doing something because of the sound-lol
but stock gti's are making like 200hp right?

Yup. That is why the WRX is awesome... lol

Those AWD cars rape me in the auto x... It is sad... lol Except for the WRXs cas you must know how to drive them with all that understeer... Slow in, then apply power after the apex to avoid understeer.
