Line Wrench? 10 mm?
Thomas

10mm is a little to big, it just strips it. 9mm is to small and ive tried 2 different sets.

hmm it should fit on there snug like a bug on a rug.. maybe they were stripped prior..
It's 10mm. Use a line wrench.
If that doesnt work, use vice grips.
And if you have to ask which way to turn something to unscrew it, you shouldn't be working on it.

I know wich way to turn it, but it could be reverse threaded. And 10mm is to lose on them and striped both sides. I did get it of with a vice though. Now the new problem is a leaking cailper.

NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER use standard tools on imports. all imports use metric sockets (exckluding sparkplugs)
they were probably stripped nefore......if a 10mm doesnt fit thats probably why. the brakes use a 10mm line wrench which should b a perfect fit. make sure you turn it the right way. if you screw this up you are going to have a lot of fun trying to fix it. gl:goodjob:
what are you doing???? are you doing a brake swap or was it messed up originally and you tried to fix it???

I drive a s14, and Im upgrading to z32 fronts. I have my lines taken care of now, but the new problem is the leaking cailper. I guess Ill have to buy a rebuild kit. Should I go to nissan and ask for a z32 font cailper rebuild kit or do I need specific part numbers?

o i c. well thats simple if youre using the stock s14 lines it wont fit. the s14 and the skyline calipers have different banjo fittings on the lines . spl makes a good set of stainless lines for your car..... or you can go the cheap ebay route. my friend bouight some for his s13 using a z swap for $70 and he had no problems. but me personally i dont buy important things like that from ebay so just buy it from spl

if its leaking on the outside then its the the line defintely. if its leaking on the inside the youll need a rebuild kit. youll have to go aftermarket bc most of the z/skyline brake stuff is either disontinued or on backorder at nissan

I think he is prolly trying to use an open wrench and that will strip it out hard core so you need one of those closed ones with lil opening the line to slide through.
I would just go to tire rack and order some SS lines.
Thomas

I did order SS lines but you have to take off the old ones to put the new ones on.

Is that this thing?

This is what I am talking it about. It wont let the nut strip. What you are going to have to do with the stripped one is get the propered sized open wrench that you stripped it with and use a small hammer to tap the wrench on there. Or vice grips to try to turn it.

I have 1 standard bolt that I know of on my car right now. The one that is going through my floor pan to hold my side exit up where it is supposed to be.
