topspeed vs. batlground?

i have a ka-t that needs to be tuned and ihave a rom tune and an safc. i wanna everyone to vote for either one

rom tune with safc. all you need is your safc tuned. anywhere who has a sense of what they are doing can do it. safc is easy and not too complex with the range so cant be truely detrimental with failures. so anywhere of those two fine. choose the one thats closer to you i suppose.

once you get standalone then you have issues deciding.

Yeah, SAFC is incredibly easy to tune. If you had a WB02 in your car I could do it.

But just choose who is closer.

SAFC is crude tuning.
it doesnt offer as much tuning capabilities as a rom tune or something like a standalone.

If the safc is used in conjunction with the rom tune, it can 'fine' tune the rom tune so you can have a better tune.

another thing about the SAFC is that it doesnt really do much for what it is. All it does is change the air fuel ratio by tricking the ecu of how much air its seeing, if this is done at higher boost levels and under moderate conditions, the SAFC doesnt allow the ECU to pull/add the correct amount of timing which doesnt make it too ideal to run alone.

IIRC, E-Manage Ultimate offers both a/f tuning and TIMING tuning, which is most important.

Either shops, I'm sure are more than capable of fine tuning with the SAFC, since you already have a ROM Tune (JWT/Enthalpy/etc.).

I'd suggest whomever has more experience under their belt..

Emanage Blue also offers Ign Timing and adjusting a/f.

It can also adjust injector pulse width.

We are choosing the customers we can take since our schedule is so tight. We weren't taking customer for a while because we were backed up and traveling a lot. The back log of projects are gone, so now we are either taking care of regular customers or choosing the jobs we have time for.

I was at Formula D, but unfortunately the didn't let us do any donuts in the 3 practice or 2 qualfying runs they gave us ;) from what I hear, that's all I'm good at :D

I would go with batlground. I was at Top Speed today with a few buddys who needed to dyno-tune one of there EVO's. They just haven't tunned as many 240's, but I would take my car there in second if I owned a EVO or a WRX.

you shouldnt be tuning the safc too aggressively. get a rom tune or stand alone then. safc has capabilities but why should your car depend totally on the safc? no rocket science. use it as for finer tuning on your rom or stock ecu. or dont push it. no excuse to blow it up with safc. in my opinion. inexperience or lack of fundamental with decisions will blow it up.
