What size steering wheel do you prefer? What application do you use it for (drift, road racing etc...)? What brand/style?

Right now I'm using a 320mm but I think I'd like something a little larger like 350 or so.

mine is somewhere around 350 or so, go measure it, i dont remember. you can take it off my car and see if you like it, permission given. 320 is too small for driftin, or racing for me, you may like it. for drifting, i need the recoil to be slow enough because i need to be precise when i stop it, 320 will be way too quick for me and i would have to be a better driver. not too big also coz than turning ration is slower.

good luck.

Yah yours looks like a 350. I might have to try it out... Yours is OMP right? You like the brand? Any other suggestions for brand or where to buy?

Oh and also what material? Suede? Leather? Any idea what works best for drifting? Mines kinda sticky so it doesn't slide back as well as i'd like.

OPM wheels are the shit. I also like the sparco ones. I like seude over leather or perferated leather.

that bride looks like an ebay special

I have a nardi classic and I think its a 360mm but Im not sure. Its the same diameter as the stocker. If I buy a new wheel it will most be a dished suede like the sparco 345.

Theres tons that look a lot like these. My ebay one looks just like it but has a nismo centercap lol. I just stuck it in there so it wasn't blank... Wheel works great tho! :)

that one looks decent for an ebay wheel

how firm is it ?
it doesnt move much right?
i want a wheel thats really stiff not plasticy on the outside
i dont care about weight of it
and i loved leather cuz if your hands arent sweating its good for grip and sliding ... but the stock 240 wheel sucks for grip regardless ><
and yeah like down_shift said ... gloves ftw on track =D

i have some random sparco one i got for $100 a while back
http://codywellons.com/photos/2007_S14_build/08.jpg

it's a d-cut one which at first seemed like it might be weird for drifting but it's really not bad at all (and also helps with legroom). i might eventually swap it out for a dished crazy colored JDM one though (or a cheapo mooneyes).

iv'e got a red momo.. I believe it's a mote carlo.. will have to investigate that.. got it off of a guy for 75$ and was gonna put it in my S13 but it's super hicas.. and has the sensor in the steering wheel. so I am gonna put it in the 3000 GT when I get the $$ to get the hub and quick release.. I'll get some pics up soon.. just my $.02:cheers:
