heres my readings ::
25/25 test
...............Reading...........Allowable........ ...Result
HC-ppm..........0039....................132.......... .....pass
CO-%.............00.36..................0.73......... .......pass
NOx ppm..........0816...................945........... .......pass
RPM.................2938...............1500-3000
CO+CO2%........13.8................6.0 Min.
50/15 test
...................Reading.........Allowable...... .......Result
HC-ppm..........0030..............136................ ...Pass
CO-%.............00.04.............0.76.............. ....Pass
NOx ppm.........1766...............1045............... ..FAIL
RPM...............2913..........1500-3000
CO+CO2%.......14.0............6.0 Min.
as you can see, on the 50/15 test i failed, with high NOx levels, Dave (v-empire) told me, to change out my temp sensors (temp gauge hasnt been working since i swapped in the new 95' motor) and we'll try it again..
I think a good reason i failed that part is because my MAF is bad, in the morning ill crank the car before i go to school.. and i have to let it sit, to get warm before i drive it, or it will sputter alot.
Last week i drove to Will's house (infinite) to check out his sr20, and look at his bumper he's selling to me, then i was about to leave, and my car wouldnt idle, popped the hood, checked out everything and it was good.
Try again, still it doesnt idle. Will unhooked the MAF and said start start it, and it idled, then he told me to rev it (when the MAF is unhooked it has a 3k RPM rev limiter) he plugged it back in, and it runs perfect.. that is when i found out my MAF is bad..
But, when i pulled my motor, and cleaned up the engine bay, we pulled the complete A/C system, we pulled the Evap canister, and pulled out this thing : circled in red on pic and blocked off the hole that blue hose runs into(pink arrow) and what does the plug circled in blue do ??

^^ pic of old motor
could the fact i have a bad MAF, and my temp gauge doesnt work make my NOx readings that high ??
any other opinions out there ???
and since my car is a 93' and i have a 95' motor (everything besides the distributor, is the way i bought it) could my 93' ecu really not read the temp sensors, even though they look the same ??
