with powershota640 i can adjust Iso from 80-100-200-800, aperature and shuttle speed i believe, im not really familiar with camera termology

ISO is how sensative the "film" is to light... but the higher you go the grianer the picture gets and more digital noise you get...

aperature is a fraction 1/3.5 1/22 controls depth of field .. more depth of field the closer the fraction get to 1/1 also when the aperature aproaches the other end near 1/22 etc... you get starburst effects from point source light....
it also controls how much light reaches the "film" F3.5 let in more light then F22

shutter speed is just that how long the "film" is exposed to light....

personally i would just leave the settings on auto with a point and shoot.. not really worth it to play with it on them....

Nice pics man! I like the wide angle ones. A couple are kinda grainy so try sticking to a lower ISO especially when it's that bright outside. Theres no need for high ISO. I've got a cannon point and shoot that I used to play with and learned a lot from it...

Yah we should do that. I've been thinking about it for a while. I want to find a few spots down town to shoot at. I figure we'll find two or so, meet up at one before sun down, all go to dinner, then meet up at the second one for night shots. We can all teach/learn more...
