I found this: http://www.thenismoshop.com/ikorb.php?func=catalog&category_id=1255&product_id=11793

Just wondering if anyone has it or has ever used it. I've heard from some people that B&M short shifters are too aggressive and too short, well instead of a 40% shortening, this is 10%. Heres the info:

By hardening the inner rubber of a standard shift lever, the amount of deflection is decreased. At the same time, the lever length was reduced by about 7.5mm, providing a stroke 10% shorter. This changes the rather soft touch of a standard car to a much more precise, fast feeling. At the same time, while the goal is to change to a quicker shift, an overly short shift stroke will result in poor, heavy shifting. Unlike a quick shift, the lever ratio has not been changed, so the transmission syncro is not effected and a moderately faster degree of shifting is possible.

Installation is easy because the solid shifter has the same basic dimensions as the standard shifter.

get a weighted shift knob
gives it more momentum.
plus that.

$218 for only a 10% reduction?
Waste of money, IMO.
Will had a C's shifter in his coupe, always told me he fucking loved it, and IIRC it was a decent amount cheaper than that.
I have an Ebay shifter in my car, its not that bad. Hell, I'll sell it if you want a SS.

You can do alot more for that amount.
$218 is a bushing kit, welded diff, drift button, some new plugs, and an oil change.

piss you deserve reps. haha

but yeah i already repped you tonight

haha im pretty sure a weighted knob would kill your synchros in the long run.

takes more pressure to force into gear. force into gear = eat synchros. shifting is meant to be slowly pressed into gear till it gets sucked in. not forced into gear like everyone who owns a 240 does. i honestly shift without the clutch about half the time on the streets. even downshifting.

smooth as butter too.

course, i sit in traffic and grind my 1st gear for fun and to make people look at me :P lol

I know that so retarded its not like you are going to faster by doing that.

most of the nismo short shifters are "solid" shifters...making your shift a lot crisper....i like mine a lot....

I drove an s14 w/ a short shifter once.... no clue what kind. I hated it!
