View Full Version : Your journal...
Is now a little more private. A good idea was submitted to us moments ago. In hopes of keeping lurkers out and keeping theft down, the members journals are now only vieable by registered users.
Hope this helps...

does that mean as soon as they sign up they can see them or after they have been a member for a while it would probably be better as far as thieves if it had a time period involved too so they couldn't just sign on as a member one time and then take thier picks of cars to go after..... just a thought

i like the idea of a private journal but at the same time if its viewable to registered members i dunno, maybe have a members list and for each specific journal that person can click...... sorta like the ignore buddy list on here.

well, we get ip's of everyone that logs on or visits the site. so if theft becomes an issue, we can give ip addresses to the proper authorities and they can track them that way.

lol.
of the thousands of ip addresses people will log in from, how are they going to narrow it down to the thief?
dynamic ip addy and each computer can/will change ip address everytime they reconnect their internet.
ip-logging is pretty much useless if the theif wants to be anonymous, they can go to a lan-center or library.
