I know i have to switch rear cover. But the two front mounting points are different. S14 diff has bushings and s13 diff doesnt. Do i need washers or how should i do it?
thanks.
I put an s13 differential into my s14. I just mounted it with different hardware and without the bushings iirc.. I'll try to find the inserts that i'm not using anymore. you may be able to use them along with some different hardware to make it work.

If you can source it, use the big flat rubber washers that the J30 uses for the bottom and then fill the holes with washers. The washers that I am talking about are about 2 inches wide and are rubber coated. I have some that I could ship you if you want.
Do not use the rubber bushings if they are still in the holes.

go to hardware store and find fatter bolt with same threads same length.
No Casey.
S14 and S13 front bolts are different lengths.
You need the S14 diff bushings and shit, and a big washer to go under them.
Im not sure if the bolts from the S14 work. But I know that S13 bolts arent long enough, I had to go to the hardware store and get bolts when I did mine.
And yeah, just swap covers, and get longer front bolts, and it will fit.

So S14 bolts are thinner than S13 bolts but the S13 bolts are shorter than the S14 bolts? I need longer bolts with same thread pitch as the S13 bolts?
lol, thanks for the help.

IIRC, the bolts are the same pitch on both cars, I don't really see Nissan switching it up on them. But I dont know for sure.
I just know when I put my S14 VLSD in my car, the S13 bolts were too short.
So I went to Cokers and got 2 bolts that were a bit longer, I kinda guesstimated. IIRC the bolts were about an inch or inch and a half longer that I picked up.
Just take one of your S13 front bolts out, go to the hardward store, match it up, and pick up some that are longer but with same thread pitch.
Hope that helps.

The 2 washers you use to cover the s14 bushing holes are 55mm in diameter. The washers for the inside (that you stack up) are 35mm in diameter. The bolt length is 70mm not taking into account the bolt head.
Again, do not use the rubber bushings in the S14 lsd. S14s have front and back rubber bushings for mounting the lsd. S13s have solid mounts.
