S14 struts on S13

If I use the upper mount part of my S13 shock, and use the actual S14 shock, would it work?

I tried bolting up the S14's to my coupe tonight, and it would bolt, just the way the strut mount sits it wont line up to the spindle.

So if I were to take the strut mount, like the entire top off my my S13, and put it to the S14 shock, would this work?

I know this sounds like a dumbass question, but just by the looks of everything it seems like it would work

if it bolt in and sits right then.... it should work
make sure all the bolts are the same
and that it didnt eff up your camber

everything should work.
you'll probably have to 'enlarge' the mounting bolt holes on the s14 strut casing.

fronts will work, rears are way too long.
