I just got the clutch pedal for my swap and I was wondering what this is?

I have the plug that goes into the back that is the speed sensor I guess and do I just splice it into where the auto sensor is?

Maybe the switch/housing... forget what it's called, but it... detects when the clutch is engaged or released... it's part of the adjustment process to deal with that... IMO you should have them. Some may disagree... dunno. Might be something else, but that's what it looks like to me all taken apart... actually... it's probably not... I'll have to look at my car.

No, you know what... I remember spinning that little bastard trying to adjust my clutch... that has to be that damn switch.

The place to always start to insure the proper adjustment is the switches.
If you adjust the rod first it is extremely hard to tell if you have proper free play.
Disconnecting the electrical plugs from the switches will make backing them up easier.

That is only for CC. There should be another on the other side to know when the pedal is fully depressed so the car can start.

You dont tech need it if you dont want Cruise Control

Well I already cut the CC throttle cable because I didn't like it so I guess I don't need it. But where is the speed sensor then because I have the one on the back and I thought that's what that is.

Speed sensor? For the speedomer? Why would that be on the clutch pedal, ha?

Speed sensor is in the tranny

IDK I thought that's what Neejay said when I got it today.

So I only need that if I'm going to use a 5 speed ECU right?

No

I assume you are doing a 5spd swap

To get the car started you have two choices about that, and neither involve the ECU.

1. Just jumper the two necessary wires at the fuse box....car will start without the pedal pushed in.

2. Extend those same two wires by the fuse box to the switch on the clutch pedal......Only when the clutch pedal is pushed in and connecting the wires through the switch will your car start.
