I've heard very very bad reviews about Ichiba hubs, apparently a lot of people get them brand new with bad bearings. I've never personally used them, and I'm sure there are people out there that are completely happy with them- but from what I've heard it's been to stay away from them. I probably wouldn't risk it.

Thanks man! yeah i've read both good and abd reviews. i've read somewhere that the studs that are with them aren't long enough at all for many wheels. i'm just looking to be able to go 5 lug but i guess i'll just have to go with the z32 brakes

I had Ichiba rear hubs on my old S13 and they worked great. Flip has them now.

I went with circuit sports 5 lug hubs and the front bears that came with the hubs were bad. They have play in them and all. I know they aren't Ichibas but I think aftermarket hubs might have this problem. Latez.

In my personal opinion, if you're gonna go 5lug, go with OEM.
I used OEM S14 front hubs/spindles, and put new ball joints too.
That was part of my motivation, because I know I can always run OEM wheel bearings, OEM studs, and it gave me an excuse to put in some new balljoints too.

i just opened OEM front from Performance Nissan Motorsport off of Ebay. they are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway they were like 262.00 w/shipping and 50.00 of that was for 60mm nismo hub bolts. he said the ichiba stuff is good w/good hardwear and all but the bearing isd not as high quality as it should be.

Lol he said she said her sisters boyfriends mechanic said bull shiz.

and oem nissan bearings are good stuff. If your bearing goes bad in an ichiba. You did it wrong. Pull the bearing go to the dealer. Find the part number and go to courtesy and order a new onw

Ya know, really, you can go OEM and do new ball joints cheaper than you can do just the front Ichiba hubs, atleast, I did my full 5lug conversion cheaper than just front conversion hubs were. Sure, I bought used hubs, but, they only had like, 70 or 80k on them, IIRC

oem =/= indestructible...

i think my rear bearings are on their way out.

Lol i wasnt reffering to your original post. But yah you can buy extended studs. Iirc stock wheel studs work in them

Mike how much money in r&d do you think is in those ichiba hubs? Not much. They measured, c&c'd pressed in stock bearings, and made everything a little thicker and used the same grade metals. Lol... Any machine shop could do it. Lol it just take man hours. Nissan has had millions of cars to test bearings on. And have probably put millions into researching what parts need to be strong and what can be lighter weight. Mechanical engineering. Vs tapemeasure... Hmmmmmm lol

Casey, what the fuck are you rambling about?

I'm using OEM 5 lug hubs, but I have the Ichiba 10mm spacer kit up front for about 9 months, and I've had 1 stud break for no reason at all. I haven't done any road racing, drifting, or auto-x with it. When I went to replace it, another stud stripped out the splines on the hub. Granted, they are used hubs but it still pissed me off.

So chalk up another one for 'random ichiba breakage' and 'OEM =/= indestructible'

Just daily driven and the drag strip for one day.

Im rambling about how oem isnt sucky and ichiba is okay if you did it right. Go to bed wes. Its almost noon. Normal people wokeup 4+ hours ago and went to sleep 12+ hours ago lol im not much better

i had two sets of Circuit Sports fronts and both had the same issue. it wasn't the bearing, the inside diameter of the hub was machined too large for the bearing to press in properly. they sent me the icibas as replacements and they've been fine.

Peak Performance made a pretty good set from what my friends have told me. If your not wanting to go OEM and don't want baller expensive I would try those out.

reason i did not buy circuit sports. i have ichiba rears and have had no problems. well the OEM style studs they come with suck, but why would you run stock length studs anyway.
