Its on! I love when car companies compete with cars that people actually fantasize about (not who gets the best MPG).

Nissan hasnt put a real driver behind the wheel of the V-Spec yet though, the offical time that was put down for the V-Spec the driver was 1\2 driver 1\2 engineer he wasnt one of the pros.

yea but what scares me is that if you read in the article it says one of GM's engineers put down that time... i only could guess what a pro could do in there.

Oh this time was also put down by a non-pro driver hmm...
This could get interesting...
I also read that they havent gotten a real time for the V-Spec quite yet, but the base model GTR did a 7.29...
Well they are saying that the Z1 will go for $100k
and the GT-R around $70k so
Nissan already won in my book deff.
But i would hope a $100,000 car would do as good as the Z1 did or better cause if not the LOLOL..
I dont care give me the Ford GT over them any day still atleast its worth the $100k

At those prices its all about performance anyways. Guys that can buy a 70K+ car can probably buy a 100k+ car.

True but i know GM and if something on their precious Z1 breaks itll cost 1/4th of resell just to fix it lol
unlike nissan's 450 HP 6 banger with same models as Infinity yull get parts much easier and cheaper

Im betting the domestic car will be the same as the import as its domestic parts supply will counter its price and make them about even.

LOL thats like asking dodge to stop building cars with hemi's
GM is to stuck on the fact that labor is to much $ in the US to sell or match parts with other Makes

Corvette won't get you chicks like a GTR would...
Unless you're going for the walker set... osteoperosis FTL...
Corvettes are old man cars. Everyone knows that. 10 time out of 10 I look into a Corvette and there's a :gay::graypirate: in it...
Yes... a gay pirate. That's what I meant.
They're everywhere... :ninja:
Screw a ZR1, I'm holding out for the R14.
Not really.
But what do you want to be, a :ninja: in a GTR? Or a :gay::pirate: in a ZR1...
That's the eternal question. :wiggle:
I took sleeping pills and I'm still awake! :superman:

I'm glad someone pointed out at the traction advantage of the GT-R having AWD Vs the RWD of the Vette. Also you forget the two have completely different Trans, the GT-R has the uber quick twin-clutch box vs the traditional 6spd.
As far as parts cost, I have a friend who had a '04 Z06 he said parts for it weren't really all that expesive and I figure with the exception of a few random ZR1 only parts the ZR1 should be the same.
My biggest thing between the two cars is the GT-R does the driving for you, you just point it to where you wanna go. The ZR1 on the other hand you've gotta do a bit more than pointing the wheel.
I RON DON KEY

does it matter? both are great cars I could only dream of having.

Haha exactly. Means we are finding more ways to push the performance envelope and I just find it amusing that it's GM vs Nissan with the two best preforming cars in the world that don't cost more than a house.
