im looking at the rota p45r's (cant afford B5's...)
http://www.rotawheels.com/images/products/p45r_hb.jpg
looking for a set up like this
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1051/1307329607_71bf2899e4_o.jpg
^^^he' running, 18x9.5 +15
^^^ i cant tell if his fenders are rolled, tucked,etc... anyone?

basically what im looking for is having to NOT roll(etc) my fenders.
out of these offsets, what will allow me to not have to roll. i just want to lower the car down to above thetire and i dont want any of the rim to stick out. im thinking +25 or +30 for the rear and +35 for the front? that seem about right and flush?
thanks, lmk( which is best)

(F) 18x9.5 + ? (12, 20, 25, 30, 35, or 48?)

(R)18x9.5 + ? (12, 20, 25, or 30?)

i'm going to be running 17x9.5 +15 on a 4 lug wheel :D, they should be here soon.

also you will have a hard time running a 9.5 +30 in the rear and not roll the fender (unless you are going to stretch and run a bit of camber)

Cameron.

+12 all the way around on a 9.5 is flush, just need to roll the fender, no pulling neccesary, but that depends on what tire size you have. you dont want anything above +20 if you want flush, and just to let you know those sizes in the P45R have to be custom ordered through a group buy.

oh and he also has a slight pull on the rear.

i have some, 225's, 235's, and 285's that i can use. so, basically without a group buy, what sizes is this rim offered in? just +30?
trying to learn this whole offset thing... gets frustrating sometimes...

im not too sure, but on a 9.5 +30 would most likely hit your shock.

just run 225's no need for 285..

i really dont want to because what about once i use up the 285s, then ill have some 255's, 235s, 225's to use and will the roll be the same with those tires?(newb ?) get what i mean>?

rolling the fenders is nothing, he means pulling the fenders. a common misconception.

he would need atleast a +50mm fenderflare on the rear (depending on camber) most likely +70

if he is running a 285/40 with 1-1.5 degree of camber, the +70mm was a joke just to make it clear.

I don't think you can fit those 9.5's at the back without rolling and pulling and a lot of negative camber with stock fenders unless you want the wheels to stick out like mexi trucks like someone said. Only option for you to run 18*9.5 with 285 is to get wide fenders or flares, no rolling and pulling, but cutting.

ive never heard of "tuck" used when dealing with wheel fitment on S chassis'.

now andrew, if you were doing like a +30 or so offset they would fit under there, but then you would have problems clearing your suspension.. so its a lose lose.

oh... well, does 255's on a 9.5 with roll sound better? but how would that "roll" look if i was ever to put 215's,225's,or 235's? not good eh?:crying:

see why i was saying that we need to get together?lol-i need your help.

basically what i need is for people to give me choices thatll fit for what im looking for, and i can pick-lol

Cameron.
06-26-2008, 03:57 AM
You will never notice a roll... rolling the fender just rolls the inner lip up inside the fender, Pulling actually reforms the fender. on a 18x9.5 +12 with the proper amount of camber you shouldnt need a pull..

i dont want to have camber. i want the tires to wear evenly...

Cameron.
06-26-2008, 04:05 AM
lolololol.. camber will not alter the wear of the tires... and not ~4* at that...

you wouldnt have to worry about uneven wearing unless you had camber like a VIP car. or like Grants.. (YokotaS13)

the Toe (the inner and outter pitch of the tire) is what eats your tires.

What is the tire size, camber??

not too sure, but they look to be about a 225/40/18

camber in the back is prolly plus or minus 4 degrees, camber in the front prolly about the same.

This is from a guy call 1Via on zilvia's wheel whore fitment.
The rears
18x9.5 +12
Bridgestone SO-3 Pole Position 235/40-18
-1.5 camber
Stock fenders, slight roll in rear.

thats not a roll..... thats a pull.... and an unneeded pull at that..

DONT PULL UNLESS YOU HAVE TO PEOPLE!!!!

Making fitment without resulting to pulling in the end is always better than permenantly altering your fenders.. trust me i know from experience.. narrow tires and camber is your friend when your trying to make your wheels fit..

and im telling you you wont have to if you put the proper size tire on the wheel, and add camber. cause while 285 may look good and all, theres a thing called sidewall flex, and its no bueno.. slightly stretched tires are better cause they keep that sidewall hard, especially for drift cars, which is what you want this car to be correct?
