they do them local i can save some gas and stay in state

I autocross with them everytime theres an event- huge region. Last event I was at had 221 drivers.

Skillz, all you have to do is make a friend with one of the photographers or bring your own. Then they ask if they can photogragh on the course, and SCCA says sure as long as they have a spotter...

Then the photographer picks his spotter (you) and then all you have to do is make sure your buddy doesnt get wacked...

i want to start doing events. but i actually want to go to road tracks and such, although autocross would be fun. but i dont have a car that i can mess up and not worry.

you don't mess up your car at an autocross, now at a road event... different story.

HPDE event at road atlanta- girl came around the last turn before the straight a little too hot (about 100) and lost the backend spun it into the wall.

In a viper I usually take that turn ~100-110 you just have to not give it to much gas or else you will be kissing that wall... lol

For those looking to auto-x without HUGE crowds, MidGA Region usually has 30 or so cars at each event. Last time was my first event, everyone got 8 runs in over the course of the day.

I think it's $25 for registered SCCA members, and $35 for non-members. IIRC, we're one of the cheapest regions to run with.

We normally run at Cordele aka Watermelon Speedway. I know SEDA's done stuff there so I'm sure some of y'all are familiar with the territory.
