Ok I need to identify my problem here, My brake lights are stuck "on". I have unplugged the sensor that is on the upper portion of the brake pedal and the problem is solved, but when I hit the pedal the lights dont light up (to be expected). So do I need to replace from that plug-in forward (which I guess is some sort of a sensor) or do I need to look else where?

the little rubber thing probably popped out that hits the sensor when your brake pedal is not depressed. you can fashion one out of a screw or get another piece at the dealer.

Work, seems like that is the most common Nissan problem ever, haha.

Just epoxy 2 or 3 nickels where the rubber stopped should go, and problem solved, lol.

The little piece that hits the pedal when im not pressing the break peddle is still on the sensor. I pushed it with my finger and it still functions properly. I guess the entire sensor is bad?

if you push the sensor button in does it function properly? maybe the rubber piece is just not fully pushing on the sensor.

It works properly if I push it all the way in. I figure ill just glue some change onto my brake pedal to give it that little extra.

I went ballin out and used a quarter.

My buddy tried to go a different route and stole some of the grommets from a pedal I had laying around after I told him to just Double side it up.

They didn't last a day and he finally succumbed to the tape method.

TRUE! However, you said use two PIECES of double stick tape, when it seems you meant two LAYERS! Works like a charm now though. Also, I left a few marks at the glass parking lot today :)

THe little replacement plastic piece is really cheap from nissan. I keep a spare one around for myself :).

Change works too... Epoxy is good. You want to make sure it sticks.

plug it in. if it always on its the sensor. press and dold the little black button in. if its off you need to adjust. if it is on you need a new sensor. replace it and adjust it. costs 20 or so to buy
