View Full Version : Changing brake pads
Tomorrow I have to go down to Bowdon to see my gf and I need to change my brakes asap before I have to get new rotors. Could someone help me?
I'll be leaving the house around 2ish to go down to Bowdon. I can drive to your house and we can change them there.
Thanks :)

Why not swing by install day and we can do it there? I can help you out, no worries.

Changing brake pads is very easy. I did it on my first try and so can you
Remove wheel remove the calipar bolts, Slide calipar off rotor, brake pads fall out of calipar.
The only problem you can have is the piston may be pushed out some ...making it almost possible for you to get the calipar with new pads back on the rotor..you can just take a flat head screw driver and stick it into the grooves on the piston and rotate it and it will push back down

I'm assuming it is the front, we did the rears already on his car (unless that scored rotor killed the pads already). The fronts are actually easier though, you don't have to remove the caliper
Well see install day is on the same day I'll be with my gf. I'm taking her out to dinner then going to the movies so I wont be there. I tried to talk with her but her parents said "Nu oh"
I know how to change brakes -_- I just don't have the tools to do it.
EDIT: The front ones the back ones are fine thanks to you :goodjob:

Hmmm...not a bad idea. Never thought of that because I didn't know it would start that early. It's on the way basically. I have to go a little out of my way but it's not that big of a deal.
Yeah I have SAT's as well but I don't need to take it :P
