What size and offset would I need to fit 245/40/17 up front on a s13? Minimal amount of fender work possible. I'm in the market for some wheels and don't know what size and offset to get. I'm thinking about 17x9 with a 20-ish offset. What about staggered vs non-staggered (square) set-up. I am leaning towards a square set-up for a more neutral characteristic from what I'm reading. Thanks again. Latez.

go read zilvia wheel fitment thread.
my friend as this on his S13
17x9.5 +12 245/40/17
17x10.5 +23 275/30/17
it does require fender rolling/pulling and coilovers. oem struts hit the wheel

Killswitch has a fender roller, you can either rent it or have them do the work for you. Check the Vendor Services thread.

no strech? id go 225 w/ 9.5 or you could go 215 like ZenkiCam.

grip
well of course. but what 240 is fast enough to need that much tread up front? unless your doing some serious track time i would say 245 is too wide for the front.

Well, I was looking at some of the autocrossers on some of the other forums, and majority of them run 245/40/17 all around. I am thinking if 245/40 takes so much work to fit up front, I might was well go with 235/40/17. Thanks. Latez.

obviously.. noone seems to care about anything other than jdmdoridori on here.
not everyone runs 215 up front.
245 shouldn't be a hard fitment on a 9" wheel upfront

Just get good tires!
Last sat I had 195/50/16 Advan AO48's up front and it gripped better than most 235/17's I have ran!
