Notes:
We knew you couldn't get enough, so here's a second helping of the 2007 Southern Fried season! Don't be the one who is late to the table for this second installment of ATL's favorite practice days.
TANDEM!! TANDEM!! TANDEM!!
Additionally, don't forget about our advanced tandem run group. You know who you are... those guys that have been itching to get out there with Myself, Toni Shorts, MartyMartyMarty, Sammy, and the others. Bring your cage, bring your fire suit, and leave your ego at home!
Well, now's your chance. If you've got the background, and you fill out your petition, you might just get it!
http://dgtrials.com/forms/tandem_petition.doc
If you are interested in volunteering -- shagging cones, registration, tech, security -- please contact Marty (jon.martin@dgtrials.com) as he will be coordinating. We hope to see all of our faithful and dedicated volunteers out there as usual! Also, if you've volunteered in the past, please email Marty with your ideas of some fun things that DGTrials can do for you as a "thank you..."
Don't forget, Festive Garage (www.festivegarage.com) sells all the gear that you need to get ready!
See you out there!!!

I doubt your car would fall appart... Just don't rev the crap out of it. This type of event would be the best to learn at because its a really safe course. Cones don't hurt your car... I'll probably be bringing spares of all sorts of s13 suspension parts to sell to anyone that breaks something as well.

tech is reall basic, any normal street car should have no problem passing. this IS where you go to learn. period.

drift events aka revlimiter trials are a great place to find out how many cones you can hit in less than 30 secounds....
also cones hurt..... http://members.cox.net/weibcompact/CIMG3606.JPG

haha...we're on the road back now and it was a really good weekend.
i had my share of car problems during practice saturday which gave me some trouble (car felt low on power so we changed plugs, and in the process discovered one was cracked and it broke off into the cylinder during removal, although we finally managed to get it out). that cut me way short on practice runs and i didn't end up qualifying for top 16, although i did hear that i only missed it by a hair. i also discovered even more that i have to get coilovers if i wanna progress any more, and my current setup is just holding me back a ton (marty noticed me lift a tire in one turn which resulted in a quick spin that majorly hurt my qualifying runs).
aside from my crap, the rest of the atlanta crowd did good. marty, dennis, dan, andy, erin, and sammy all made top 16, and andy managed to get 3rd, and erin got 4th. everyone drove really well and did an awesome job representing for atlanta.

Sweet, I'll jump on that as soon as I get someone to cover my shift. Since they changed our shifts to 12 hours its REALLY hard to get anyone to switch... Kinda sucks.
