Ok so I saved up 2k to throw down for a new suspension setup. Any opinions on what to get? I am looking for a semi rigid setup dd/mountian riding. I want something that is going to corner with MIN. body roll and also look good! :p I have the wider tires already. (235)

P.S. I have a 93 240 s13 by the way! Hatchback baby!!

Megan Streets. (awesome for the price) thats 870$ ish shipped if you go through element on the Zilvia boards. the spring rates are 8 kg/mm front and 6kg/mm rear which is roughly 3 times stiffer than stock

front and rear strut tower bars. 2-300$ and definitely get some adjustable TC rods..OR!!! if you want the best bang for your buck..get urethane T/C rod bushings they make a world of difference. In all honesty you get the same "stiffness" as aftermarket pillowball T/C rods..you just cant adjust the caster...but the 240 has so much already you dont really NEED more.

And maybe some RUCAS so you can adjust your camber when you lower the car.

Pm v-empire up there. Comming from a megan owner. If you saved 2000 up. I would spend 1000 - 1500 on coilovers, get rucas, tension rods, tie rods, tie rod ends, rear toe link, and full bushing kit. Brand is whatever budget is. But all that is a great setup. :)

I'll mainly say though, in all seriousness, check everything on your chassis suspension wise, and see what needs to be replaced before you begin to modify, such as ball joints and bushings, tie rod ends and the like.

I've ridden on a few different coilover setups, and by far my favorites have been the Stance GR+Pros. Not too much more expensive than Megans, but the ride quality was 10x better in my opinion.

I'd pick up a set of those, and you'd have about $9xx to play with.
From there, definitely get some tension rods. I would also recommend checking the bushings throughout the car, and see whats wore out, or what could be replaced.
The most noticeable differences that I've noticed on my hatch were the polyurethane tension rod bushings, steering rack bushings, and sway bar bushings and endlinks.

Depending on what brands you pick up, or what setup you run, you could come out with a very nice handling car, and still some money left over.

I haven't driven my car since I completed the rear bushings, but I know just those I listed above were night and day difference.

You can do alot on an S13 with 2grand.

Stance GR+ 1K
PBM adj suspension arms 740$
god speed swaybars 140$

total = 1880

leaving you
120 for misc stuff

dont waste your money on Ksports and Megans...or any of the mid brand shitty coilovers, you'll just be disappointed later on down the road.

just letting you know..
pbm arms started getting surface rust on the heim joints when my car was just sitting.

it's funny you mention to not spend $ on mid-brand coilovers yet godspeed sway bars are the shittiest out there, lol.

I say buy the megan suspen kit special. Contact V-Empire just like everyone else has mentioned. Its the best deal for the money. I ride megan streets and love them!

I do suspension installations but I work for cash... Let me know if you decide to have it done...
