There are a lot of companies that make aftermarket rear ends for 240's, search on google and you are bound to find a few without even looking. If you are looking for a new OEM VLSD, its not worth it, although Im sure there is one out there somewhere and Im sure its 3000% overpriced.

People make LSD every day. All you have to do is find a dealer.

VLSD not worth the "upgrade" they are not really great at anything. I would either just either do it right the first time (kaaz/nismo (or s15 helical maybe for grip).) or if you wanna cheap drift option: WELD the open!

Wow, $645 for a used VLSD. Thats just funny right there.WTF????????
wow at those prices i should get a mustang again even though initial buying cost is more. thats half the price of a mustang individual suspension, DAMN!!!!!!
LSD's brand new for a stang = between 300 to 400.
coilovers = 1300
Adjustable sway bar = 129
Irs = 1300
chassis stiffing= under 200
$3,329 and i have almost everything i want.
cage = 400
4v motor aluminum block modular= 2000 (or less)
Tubular full front suspension = 900 (i think that includes steeda coilovers so probaly even cheaper)
I guess you can add that for when i gain some track expierience.
what would it cost to take a bone stock 240sx from stock too a fully rebuild suspension, 300 hp, lsd, and a reinforced chassis, i guess the IRS cost will make it less.
wow for the first time i thought of the cost diffrence other than initial for my next car, damn!

VLSD's are good for drifting...I dunno what yall r talkin about. loads better than an open diff.
But for grip yea, You cannot beat a Helical diff...they suck for drifting though, even worse than an open diff because its designed to split torque to the wheel with MOST grip to avoid the exact type of situation that happens during a drift.
Quaife or Carbonetics...that's where it's at.
