Car stolen, 1991 240sx @ LA fitness

Someone stole my car at LA fitness on 1860 Duluth Hwy.

It was up for sale very recently and details are as follows:



It is RED and BLACK, fenders back is RED and fenders and hood is BLACK.



There is NO bumper on the car and runs on an open pipe.

The car also has a 5% tint ALL around the side windows.

It also has COILOVERS and 5LUG with Z32 Brakes ALL around the side.

It is VERY obnoxious and also low.

It has a rust on the DRIVERS SIDE QUARTER PANEL.

It's TAG ID is ADT 6369 in GWINNETT.

It still has a stock KA24DE but I am guessing someone stole the car after looking at my Forsale Thread on the fleamarket on this IA.

My friend got her Honda stolen out of the O Charleys parkinglot last night. He had brand new paint job/tail lights/ Tires her Ipod inside, and a bunch of expensive crap.

Two hispanic guys took it, they noticed them before they went in but didn't think too much about it.

Also invest like 15 bucks into a Cutoff Switch. Hard to steal a car without power. They make them in electronic models too, where you need a special magnet etc to start the car. Cheap, and very effective.

i got a call from the officer that was assigned to my case.

he called me saying its been found, however it was on blocks.

i'll go to the place they towed it and see whats up..
i asked if they took prints from the car and he said.. "uh... no..."
figures, they dont care much about a beatup car like mine :(

anyways..
it was found in the Tucker area.. Im not sure where that is?..

Also.. i have q uestion for you guys.
If i go to the towyard and see my car, do i HAVE to bring it back with me?
If it doesnt have the parts i put into it, i'll probably just leave it there if i can...

Did you have full coverage? If not they will probably want you to pay for towing and storage BS..... or you can sign the car over to them.

That really sucks man but I'm glad they found it... Let us know how it is when you look at it... Even if you have liability you can add things like theft and uninsured motorist which is usually a good idea. If you need it towed I'm sure someone on here would be willing to help you out.

I have an S13 Shell you can take a look at if you want. It was hit in the front end, not frame damage just front core support. We were/are going to make it into a drift car, so it didn't really matter. The damage is very minimal, it would be an easy fix. You can take a look at it if you want, just give me a call or PM me. Also.. to note.. its a SHELL. LoL.. Nothing more.

Damn, I just found this thread but read all 10 pages. That sucks man. You're right though, they didn't know about 240's. And that sounds like your typical "mexican ricer"...scrounging for misc/minor parts.

Im debating on getting a Mercury Marauder (I could get them for around 10k) or a S14 Kouki (hard to find). I kind of want a 99-01 prelude, but the FWD + shitty torque kills it for me.

Sad thing is that there aren't any other cars I really want besides my wrx/sti and I couldn't afford the insurance right now.

well you think the engine is still good, you may want to double check it. who knows how long they drove the car without a radiator. I say this b/c they did the same to my firends civic. Just a heads up and they didnt take you brakes or 5 lug b/c they would have ot have something to put back in it to drive it to a dumping grounds. so you lucked up in that sense. I am glad you got the car back minus only a few things so that you can recover some stuff. as for the prints I meant in general anyone before or after the theft could have touched your car looking at it, could have been someone you knew or some shit like that. ANyhow.

its odd they left the 5lug+brakes bc it was already sitting on blocks when the cops recovered it.

they went thru all the trouble of removing the wheels which had locking keys and took the coilovers off..
the least they'd do is take the brakes or something..

but oh well, better for me :)

i'd check the motor to check it's condition, but i dont have a radiator handy.

i'm already almost completely done removing the suspension parts, just removed 3 corners of brakes/5lug/arms and now im down to the last corner.. need to get a key for my lugnuts so i can remove it though.

then comes out the interior then the motor.
then.. possibly scrap the shell or cut it up and throw it away to keep the VIN and title in good standing.
