Hey I was wondering if anyone knew of a clutch pedal return spring, when I push mine down it does not come back up, but I haven't added any fluid yet...just curious before i put it back together and ride out.
so.. am I crazy? :screwy:
yes/no?
Gotta have fluid and bleed it.
Then you should get pressure.
Er, well, I think thats all you need to do.
Im too lazy to go look at my spare clutch pedal, lol.

It's fluid, no spring. Fill up your master cylinder with DOT3 brake fluid, pump the hell out of it for a couple minutes. (You're probably going to have to use your hand until it gets to where it wants to come back up on it's own) Then hold the pedal to the floor while someone releases the pressure by loosening the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder. (Located on the passenger side of transmission) Whoever is bleeding it should note to close it back AS SOON as the fluid stops coming out. If you wait too long, air gets back in the system.
Just repeat that until you don't feel the clutch pedal getting tighter after you bleed it. Once all the air is out of the system, the fluid should come out in a solid stream.
Don't forget to keep the master cylinder full of brake fluid.

Once its bled you can adjust the throw too so that you dont have a lot of dead pedal when its on the floor. I know everyone has a different preference but i like mine to have 1-2" of slack with the pedal on the floor, and have the rest of it taken up with the pedal in the top position.
