The tire wideth is staggered, the rear tires are wider than the front.

I know that. What I meant was the actual rim looks staggered.. Your rear tires in that pic look stretched

Spec Vs have a torsion beam rear susp. and have an oversteer bias so I run wider in the rear.
235 is acutally the stock wideth on 17x8s.

I would still rather have a Multilink, Double Wishbone, or MacPherson Strut type suspension before I would get a Torsion Beam. The only reason a car manufacturer would use that would be for production costs.

I've seen one come up here with 17x9's running 245/40's all the way around... Don't remember the offset. But it had to been low.

True, but if you look at the other cars in this price range that try to take the Spec V's best bang for the buck under 20k away from it. They all have another type of susp. other than the torsion beam, and they all fail. Yes it sucks and I tripod like a mother fucker but it gets the job done...

Ya, most of all the new nissans are built that way.... and older maximas are too...

Did he have some of the wheel well cut out with some body work done or something? Cas 17x8 is pushing it on a sentra, they told me a I was nuts for doing a +35 offset. The 2 other sentra guys with 17x8s are runing a +42 offset. I will be running 245\40 on all 4, but I need to get my fenders rolled some first...

As long as you can take the beam out and beat somebody's ass with it, then I guess it's fine.

I don't remember... I'll see if I can ask one of the techs that worked on it to see if he remembers...

That would be such an obvious weapon though. Forensics would never know unless they look at the car and realize that the rear suspension is only connected by the rear struts. What sounds more badass? Killing somebody with a tire iron or a big ass torsion beam?
Edit: Now i need to learn how to decapitate somebody with a scissor jack.

Jack up the car high enough so you can fit their head in there. Then push the car forward... and BOOM.. as long as the car doesn't crush them first...

i have a question. What are those off road looking wheels on a lot of ae86's. They are multi spoked, fat, flat spoke edges not round holes. These are shiny too. Anyone know what im talking about?
