on Barrett past 41 coming towards the mall from the Racetrac or thereabouts

he slowed down, I slowed down, 2nd gear at about 4300-4500 rpm, gunned it and was edging him out by about 90mph.

$60k car being edged out by a $13k car.....

Hahah thats awesome :). Makes me feel good too cause I can keep up with you in the STi :). I had a viper guy tell me once that if we raced, I wouldnt even know which direction he went. I told him to get in my car and after i took him for a ride the only thing he said was "Holy shit. I didn't know." Gotta love cocky people...

Motor/Tranny mounts still treatin ya good? :)

shitty motor mounts were very very very likely causing false knock which would have explained why i was so down on power. Gas mileage kinda sucks right now so plugs should fix that.

oh yea and the car just rolled over 100k miles

stock bottom end, 350+rwhp most all of its life.

my car:

2001 Camaro SS stock bottom end
F13 cam (230/232 duration 112LSA)
Chromoly pushrods
ported throttlebody
MTI intake lid
Comp double valve springs (i think)
stock lifters
ASP underdrive pulley
Hooker Longtube headers
TSP x-pipe to true duals, dumps at rear axle
3.42 gear
UMI adjustable panhard rod
UMI adjustable rear LCA's
Prothane/energy poly motor/tranny mounts
BMR subframe connectors
BMR adjustable rear panhard rod
Spec Stage 3F clutch with Billet Flywheel
TT2 wheels 17x9.5 up front, 17x11 out back 245 front tires/315 rear

anyone know someone who wants to buy a set of 245/40/17 tires? haha i want 275's up front again... felt so much better.

all that stuff really doesn't cost that much. $1.5-2.5k but can probably be had cheaper

I was surprised how well the car gripped when cornering at 75-90mph, these cars are true road race vehicles.

edit: this is in a full weight car with 10" sub, 350w amp, power seats, leather etc.

actually they're 245/45/17

I'll take $85 each, they're on Tire Rack for $150 each, they're BFG TA KDWS, i have two of them. good tires, most of the tread left

yep, very fast daily driver. Poly motor and transmission mounts are the best things since sliced bread

with a good set of TFS or AFR heads, ported, same cam or somewhat bigger, FAST 90/90 or 92/92 intake, hopefully i'll be putting down about 475-480rwhp and around 450rwtq.

unless i go forced induction, then who knows.

I'm focusing on suspension at this point... no need to add more power, i have plenty for what I want right now
