go to walmart, they have it for sure.

you dont need a tutorial, just wear gloves and a mask or go hardcore and you will figure it out...eventually...kidding.

this is more of a hands on things, so if i show you once, you ll know how to do it. then getting better and reading more about it will make sense
and you will get more ideas after that.

good luck. pm if needed.

for your info..fiberglass for a door and trunk enclosure for the speakers costs like $4.99 at walmart. then you need resin and harderner (walmart off shelf chemicals) for like $12 or so.

Walmart man, how many times does the guy have to tell you?

There's a tutorial on fiberglass kick panels and sub enclosures somewhere on minitruckinweb.com. Can't bother looking.

Peace

walmart for small amounts.
ill ask where he got that huge roll of it..
its about ~5" thick on each side of the roll and nearly 3.5' high.
so... quite alot of fiberglass :)

Any boat repair shop will carry the materials you are looking for although you will pay more for them. If you are building speaker pods I suggest using heavier weight cloth than what yuo get at wal mart/advance since it is less likely to delaminate under extreme use. Also any of you that do your own fiberglass work it is a real good idea to use a roller made for such work so you can be sure to get all of the air pockets out of the resin. This will also help prevent delamination.

im gonna make one out of sheet aluminum when i get a welder and start doing aero stuff

Casey

awesome...i want one in aluminum too!

why not fiberglass?

wouldnt fiberglass break?
a diffuser is a flat panel with perpindicular panels to smooth the air as it decompresses from under your car... w/o creating like messy turbulance.... so fiberglass... the joint from where the flat part touches the perpindicular part would like break there... unless you reinforced it somehwo then it would mess with the aero part of it
i bet i could make it in less than 10 pounds =D
i just need a welder and some aluminum sheets ... lol
and you can reinforce the aluminum so it wont flex no matter what from the back side of the aluminum sheeting... possibly some 1/2 inch hollow aluminum square rods or something light like that
