I have relatively stock suspension (tension rods, front + rear strut bars). Would the subframe spacers make the ride stiff and/or noisy?

So it won't be TOO bad? I test drove a S14 that was lowered on tein s-techs + subframe spacers and that shit was stiff.

It's street driven, but not my daily. I guess I'll wait until I actually start tracking/autox/drifting the car.

Get the Specialty-Z Aluminum subframe collars. That's what you're looking for. They go on over the existing rubber bushings which act as a "pre-load" and that makes them a lot less harsh than a typical solid mount with the rubber bushings removed.
They're about $60. I have them, they f-ing rock. I love them.

Yeah, that's what Im talking about. Collars = spacers. So they aren't too harsh for a street driven s13?

Same question: not too harsh?

I have them and I don't think they are harsh at all.
You can definitely feel the difference though.
Get them, you won't be sorry.

Not harsh at all. Firm. The key is the existing bushing stays in. The harsh ones are the ones that go solid with the existing bushings removed.
Don't worry about it. Just get them, and you'll love it. :goodjob:

Yeah, they will be fine. I have solids in my Kouki. Your liver can take it.

I have the Kazama's subframe collars installed on my S-14. Supposed to eliminate"Wheel-hop" along with stiffening the rear up a bit. Helped reduce my wheel hop but did not eliminate. Did stiffen things up. I need coilovers to compliment.
FYI, does bring more "Road-noise" into the cabin of the car.
Good suspension mod.

tein basic coilovers
tein pillow ball strut mounts
tein tension rods
tein tie rod and ends
and I cant remember the name of the subframe spacers.
although i would recommend getting the FLEX set since it offers dampening adjustment
