What's the most OR last ghetto rigged thing you've done to your car?
I've made a few plugs out of old hose and bottle caps. I've also got my radiator fan zip tied.
I'm sure someone's got me beat. lol.

i have taken card board tubing and wrapped duct tape around it and connected 4 pieces togather so it makes the tubing hard and a K&N filter and put the K&N sticker on the tape it works but i have 12 pound test fishing string holding it up from falling in my fan this was done on my Ford Ranger Xlt

i once had to zip tie my entire fuel rail down. moderately unsafe, but it did the job.
aside from that, my front bumper is permanently zip tied on, one of my corner lights is duct taped in, and one of my rear fenders has been reshaped with a board and a hammer due to a certain run in with a wall, just to name a few things.

my cold air intake was ziptied on after i ripped the rad. shroud off cause the fan was hitting it..
one of my pulleys bit into a MAF wire so its duct taped out of the way now..

lmao
my radiator in my bmw fell into the clutch fan at 5000 rpm
you can picture what happened after that....
When I did my swap we only had 3 days to pull the ka out of my s14, pull the sr out of my sileighty, and then drop the sr into my s14, so needless to say we were in a bit of a rush. Because of this my my engine bay is the cleanest you've ever seen. We had to make do with whatever we could find at times.
I have a few of those white plastic t's on my vacuum and boost lines where i just needed a straight connector, so I just stuck screws in the extra side. Also i have this bright home depot orange hose for one of my vacuum that my friends call the "caution tape" everytime I pop my hood.
The most recent ghetto rig is my navan grill I got from Jarco. The mounting holes and stuff were broken so I just ziptied it on.

Dominic speaks the truth, I don't think there is anything in his car that isn't ghetto rigged some where or has been ghetto rigged at one point or another.
Lets see here, I have the dubbed 'ghetto sim' to fix my SES light from coming on after deleting the cat in my header. This is a sparkplug anti-fouler drilled out that masks the O2 sensor from reading all the dirty stuff. Therefore making it seem like the 1st cat is still in the header.
Then when my normal O2 bung plug fell out I used a spark plug anti-fouler filled with JB weld to plug the whole until I could find a proper 18mm 1.25 pitch bolt thingy to plug it with.
New addition. Ghetto rubbing protection in the form of rubber tubbing cut down one side to form a guard against CAI tube rubbing against the fender well hole.
If you count my exhaust is being held up partial with some sort of electric dog fence or something we found in kyle's garage.

When I rebuilt my Zenki after that bitch ran me off the road, my front and rear bumpers were ziptied on, head lights were ziptied to the support, I took the third brake light out of the trunk lid and had a zip tie connected to the trunk latch sticking out of the hole (pull this to open trunk).
before:

After:

I think I got er-body beat
If you look close enough you can see the zip tie collection:
-trunk hole
-holding the bumper on
-on each side of the tail light garish

^^^^ Yeah I wished.......it was a little more complicated than that, the rear quarters were folded up a little where the trunk lid meets the quarter on the top. But I ended up selling it for a pretty good deal :goodjob:

lets see i needed a hole cut for my front mount (for an sr) but didnt have the right tool. the problem was i had already taken out the side mount and did not feel like putting it back on. so i took my jig-saw and cut the plastic cold pipe so it was straight. and i twisted the hot pipe so it connected directly to the coldpipe bypassing the intercooler. it looked really shitty lol but it worked. i will post some pics if i can find them

dashboard (made out of MDF) and guage cluster ziptied to my interrior... HID ballasts ziptied to engine bay... exhaust held on by coat hanger... etc.. etc..
I dont call it ghetto rigging... I call it custom fabrication...
