Damn.

So, anyway. I've got my car running. It seems ridiculously slow. I don't get any power until like 3500-4k. I didn't remember the KA being so slow?

Anyway, back to the topic, I'm trying to get an emissions test done , but my car idles at 1g. When I cut the timing all the way down it still idles as like 850-900. I was told that to pass an emissions test your car has to idle at 700. Does anyone know what else I can try?

.. lol. If I can't do anything, I'll get a tag in a county that doesn't require emissions.. lol.

i just got mine probed today.....

dude was cool as shit... sinc e i have true dual exhasut all the way back and thr probe on ly goes in one hole he tested half my engine...




but anyways there wasnt and idle test that is mentioed on the sheet.... just gascap test and a dyno run at 20mph and 40mph...

could bad compression cause this?

wait couldnt your timing be off? ... like
the actual motors timing....
its a dohc so thats very possible....
bad chain tensioner?...
i dunno ....

Don't know. I'm going to try to get a test done today. Hope I pass. lol.I really don't have the money to waste on the test right now.. haha.
