okay i'm trying to figure out what is the best VLSD For the buck to go with on S14's .....
i'm talking about like ur factory one's
not KAAZ, NISMO OR CUSCO .....(to expensive for right now) plus this is my dd so I'm not gonna be going sideways all the time ...he he
I have heard that OBX makes some good affordable ones for 240's
i wanna know what is everyone running on here......cause i'm thinking to get one sooon....

Well, for the cheapest, I would go get a J30 rear end and axles. I know of 4 people off the top of my head (5 including me) that have one and we all love it. Pretty cheap, easy to install, and hell like I said. I love it.

All factory Nissan VLSDS are practically the same as far as performance goes.
There are different ratios though, 4.08, 3.91, 4.36, 4.69
But there are some that say that some of the VLSD's form certain cars are a little tighter and perform better, but i think thats just hear say

I paid $200 for mine.
I felt like I overpaid a bit, but then again, it only had 80k on it.

lol just tell us what youre paying for it.
i sold a mint condition s14 vlsd for 300 shipped.
about 240 profit after shipping.
i figure a perfect condition s14 diff. with no play at all is worth ~200 dollars.
i personally wouldnt pay more than 150 for one. because im fine with a welded diff for now.
honestly, save for a kaaz 2 way. however, if youre looking for a great daily diff. i would recomend a 1.5
its not gonna clunk as much when cruising around because the diff locks on throttle and not when its off throttle

vlsd's suck IMO, save and get a 2 way or just weld your open. I have a kaaz 2 way btw and i love it, but i got mine by luck.
If you have the funds get a good diff, if you dont, get urs welded.

I would never weld the diff on a car that wasn't dedicated to the track, Ive seen numerous peeps get stranded with holes in their diff covers from the welds letting go on the highway. Thats just me though, its up to you mang :)

I'm not worried about tires wearing out from drifting but i don't want to welded diff on my dd.....i rather spend some more money and get a used oem s14 diff ...but to answer ur question just look at my avatar......;)
