I am fucking pissed off, it has to do with money or lack of to buy new tires...
How stretched is a 225\45 going to be on a 17x8 rim? Pics would be nice.
+17 rep for pictures...
Not very at all.
seeing as a 8 inch wheel calls for a 235 from the factory, its only 1 size down.

Ya I didnt think it would be. I did the math and 225mm is equal to about 8.8" or something of that sort.

It is going on my sentra, but thanks for the visual anyway. Those really arent that stretched either.
I think I am just going to take my 225s that are on my stockers right now and have them mounted on my new ones. Then take the 2 worn out dunlops off and put those 235 ZRis I bought from wes on there...

I had 225/45/16's on my old Nismo's that were 16x8s in the rear, and they were fine...not really stretched at all.

225/45 on an 8 is probably a hair less than square.

Ya, I just hope it doesnt make my grip go away less than I have now. Those tires will get ate up if that happens.

I am not worried about then fitting or what not, I am worried about the stretch in relation to grip. 175 foot pounds of TQ on a FWD car does not respond well to stretched tires I would imagine.

Most of the factory mustang wheels that were 17x8 came with 225/45R17s from the factory if that gives you a good idea on the fit.

They fit fine :goodjob: as you can see from my new wheels thread.
