Well, it's color shifting metal flake, I just don't know how it's applied, how much is used, ect.

I'm too much of a DIY'er to take it to anyone around here.

House of colors makes it to. Its just flake you mix in with the clear coat. They have a whole variety of colors and sizes of the flake. That is the large rainbow flake.

you can do pearl.
but flakes? you'd need a decently sized nozzle/needle.

we also used bottom feed for our bass boat paint job on two cars.

whats a topcoat?

like
people will spray 2 layers of primer and sand n stuff
but they do a base coat of the color they want then wet sand that then they do a top coat of the same color. Then you can clear coat it a couple times
and mix flake in the clear coat if you want flake
atleast this is from my understanding

oo
i wasnt aware ppl lay 2 layers of primer?

i can understand some kind of epoxy primer and filler primer to touch up on some spots.

gahh.. base coat then wetsand the base and lay another base?
then clear with flake
then ANOTHER clear to protect the flake?

thats a shitload of work.

i know i'll be laying etching primer, then filler primer on some spots + glaze/putty, then a good one or two layers of basecoat then mix metallic with the clear and spray that.
then another layer of clear to protect the metallic clear..

lol
thats a shitload of work now i think about it!
