So ... Who's goin?

The Import Showdown is the southeast hottest sportsman drag racing event. Our event is by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts. We offer a unique mix of test and tune runs (open, non competition) with sportsman focused competitions. We offer classes that appeal to novices and daily drivers, all the way to serious competitors.

Our event is open is any make or model vehicle, import or domestic, running any setup, as long as they meet track safety requirements for Test and Tune. Competitions have cylinder, driveline, power adder, tire, and other regulations. We also allow motorcylces to run Test and Tune.

The Import Showdown is put on by volunteer members of GA DSM. The event is not for profit, as 95+% of all funds are turned back into the event.

i'd like to take the 240 but it's a fairly big ordeal getting it on the trailer and all that, so it might just rest at home that weekend.

Just got back. Had a great time.

Lots of fast cars were there.

Only person that I saw was Decker. One of the best moments was when Decker lost a hubcap on his launch.

It was a goodtime. loosing the hubcap did make me smile. Did you see the morons in the the Civic with the white hood and euros and the white Integra that Turned around and were driving the wrong way up the track. That Spec hatch had to lock up the brakes goin Through the traps It was F'n ugly. It's like some people that go to the track dont even bother to watch whats goin on before they give it ago.

Showdown was a blast! My times were a bit shitty though ... 13.4. It took me a minute to get used to the slicks ... and by the time I got used to em, one of my turbos decided to stop spoolin. I think I blew a vacuum line or something. I'll check tomorrow when I'm not tired as hell.
