Why use a screw driver when you can use a socket?

Get a 12mm with an extension and use that. It will be much easier.

If you can't do that, then tap the screw driver with a hammer while turning it.

a socket but none fit it was in between a 9MM and a 10MM like a 9.5 MM the 10 was too big and the 9 too small. I tried a Screw driver and hammered in first but not when I was turning....LOL

kidding I am a MONKEY I must have used the wrong socket it was a 10MM so no worries...LOL
