I need new ones, because every time I go over a speed bump they squeak like a mofo. How hard would you rate it, 1-10, to change the bushings if I had someone to help me...

Bushings where?

Bushings in subframe? 10
Bushings are in general a PITA.
Either you press em out or burn em out.

PITA.

I know there are lots of bushings, but I don't know which ones need to be replaced. I'll look at'em on Wednesday.

Yeah, there are a shitton of bushings on the car.

Thats why I said it'll be a major PITA

How comfortable are you going with spherical rod/arm ends instead of just doing bushings?

hmm. no worries. I said the same thing..
"I need bushings.."
"which ones?"
"front!"

... i had to ask 3 people why will thought that was SO funny, til one of them explained that "bushings" is broad lol.

If you are talking about tension rod bushings-- emily told me (dont quote me, cuz i havent done it) that you can't replace them yourself, you have to take them somewhere cuz it takes a lot of pounds of compression to get them in place.

is this accurate?

How comfortable are you going with spherical rod/arm ends instead of just doing bushings?I know little about them but I would have to know if they are reliable and safe...but then again I'm pretty sure they are safe because they wouldn't make them if it could put someone in danger.

is this accurate?Yeah I was talking to Robert and he said the same thing. Lots of pressure.

The first ones I would replace are the tension rods.

On my old S13, you could push the front of the car down + on bumps it would squeak/thud. I got urethane bushings installed and you could no longer push the front of the car down, nor did I get the squeak.

On my current s13, I got spherical/pillowball tension rods and all the front end slop is gone, with more "harshness/stiffness".

I was going to have my suspension put in tomorrow but I'm going to let that wait. I don't have any money to get tension rods...tax return.

But I'm going to use this for future reference.
