Im about to order a cat back frim BRM and I need to know the stock exhaust piping diameter. is 2.25 or 2.5?

also, on the exhaust on my S13 (stock) it appears that the pipe is welded to the outlet of the cat, but the flange is still there. Are you supposed to saw the exhaust off and the connect the cat-back to the existing flange on the cat?

Sorry this is an extreme noob question but I just go my 240, im used to working on maximas!

Normally two bolts connect the exhaust to the cat...so thats weird

and the stock size I dont even think its 2"

I think it something like 1.75
Correct me if Im wrong

I believe stock piping on s13 is 2.25, if not then 2. But i doubt its 2.

That flange isn't suppose to be welded.

yea the choices on the site are 2.25 2.5 or 3, and im pretty sure they would make a size for stock. Ill look ay exhaust again but im pretty sure its welded.

BRM exhausts sounds great. They have a thread on NICO i think.

In all honesty, you could probably fab one up yourself for lower costs..

Are you turbocharging the new car you picked up or still the S12??

BRM was created by DR. Nico.

I understand.
I was all for it when it first came out..

Then I realized an exhaust just gets the gases to the ass end of the car.

PB blaster FTW. Spary that shit on there and let it sit for a min and it will loosen it up quite a bit.

PB Blaster is much better, and are you guys sure its 2.25" for stock? I really dont think so because the previous owner of my car went through the trouble of putting a custom 2.25" exhaust on, but then again he wasn't sharpest knife in the drawer...

WD40 takes moisture out.
PB blaster soaks in.

differences.
But I use WD40 for about anything.. I don't like PB blaster.

Buy a cheap ebay exhaust system, and then if you don't like it, just replace the muffler.
The pipe doesn't matter.
